XTale Wiki enforces various rules over the uploading and usage of images across this wiki.
Naming conventions
In order to help organize images for the purposes of ease of usage, this wiki is strictly enforcing naming conventions for its images.
Screenshots
For screenshots focusing on a specific character, the naming format is:
<character name> (<attribute if necessary>) - <name of episode/comic>
- Character name means the name of the character.
- Attribute only applies if there are multiple attributes that apply to the same character.
- Name of episode/comic specifies what work did the image originate from.
For screenshots in general, the naming format is:
<action> - <name of episode/comic>
- Action implying what is taking place.
- Name of episode/comic specifies what work did the image originate from.
Artwork
For artworks pertaining to Jael Peñaloza, the naming format is:
<artwork name/action> - Jael Peñaloza
- Artwork name pertains to the name of the original artwork. If none is specified, then action can be used.
For artworks pertaining to the artist whose universe is featured in Underverse, such as like Ink!Sans, the naming format is:
<artwork name> - <creator>
- Artwork name pertains to the name of the original artwork. If none is specified, then action can be used.
If there are name overlaps, a attribute can be applied.
Attribution and licensing
It is important to provide a source and/or link to the original artwork at all time, given within the summary tab. The image must also be properly licensed. For screenshots of Jael Peñaloza's YouTube video, the proper license to use is {{Jakei YouTube}}. For artwork drawn by Jael Peñaloza, the proper license is {{Jakei license}}.
Failure to specify the license or attribution will result in the image being deleted after a certain period of time. Images uploaded before this policy was enforced on June 27, 2021 must be attributed properly.
Usage of fanart
An example of an artwork inappropriate for this wiki.
Fanart of certain XTale character and artwork pertaining to an AU character not related by the artist themselves will not be allowed on this wiki. The art must be from Jael Peñaloza or any of these artists involved for their specific AU characters:
- Jokublog for Nightmare!Sans and Dream!Sans
- CrayonQueen for Error!Sans, Geno, and Fresh
- Myebi/Comyet for Ink!Sans and Fresh!Ink
- PigDemon for Undernovela
- Rahafwabas for Killer!Sans
- Dokudoki for Core!Frisk
- Xedramon or a Fatal_Error has Occured for Fatal Error
- Yugogeer for Epic!Sans
- Vic the Underfella for Underfell
- p0pcornPr1nce for Underswap
Proper attribution must be provided for using these pieces of works.
Patreon exclusive art
Do not upload any images from Jael Peñaloza that are exclusive behind Jakei's own Patreon. This is a severe copyright violation, and any images that surface from will be deleted and the uploader may concur punishments as a result.
This also applies to the other creators' Patreon, whether they are directly involved in the series or have an AU character in the series.
