XTale V is the sixth episode of XTale. It takes place over the course of Timeline V of XTale, where XGaster made it so that every character would hold a disliking towards Frisk and Chara.
Summary[]
In the fifth timeline, XGaster made it so everyone would dislike Frisk and Chara. They try to befriend their allies from the previous timelines, being Asriel, Asgore, Toriel, and Muffet, but they all reject the siblings. Filled with hatred, they break their extra heart locket, however Alphys finds it. Later, on her day off, Frisk and Chara approach Alphys, threatening her. Undyne arrives soon after for her date with Alphys, only to find the two pointing knives at Alphys. She disarms the siblings easily, and kicks them both down. Frisk then threatens Alphys by saying he'll kill someone else instead, causing Alphys to admit she doesn't like what XGaster is doing either. They understand, and they allow Alphys and Undyne to go on their date.
Alphys' gift to Undyne on their date turned out to be the repaired extra heart locket, which reminds Undyne about Frisk and Chara. Undyne asks if they're Alphys' friends, but Alphys denies it. Undyne then states that she'll kill the two of them, while Alphys objects, causing Undyne to believe that they are actually friends that need their friendship fixed. She brings Alphys to the two of them, and ends up learning about the other timelines. Doubting it at first, she believes them when Alphys states that it is all true. Alphys suggests that rather than trying to destroy XGaster's soul, they should contain it and figure out how it works. Frisk doesn't agree, still pessimistic after the events of the previous timeline. Undyne offers to train them, with Chara being the only one to accept.
Over the course of the rest of the timeline, Chara is trained by Undyne, gaining the ability to summon magic knives from his soul. Sometime later, Alphys, Undyne, and Chara are just relaxing together, but Alphys questions why Undyne still likes her after lying about everything. Undyne reassures her by telling her that nobody's perfect, but she's doing everything for a good cause and she won't hate her for that. Frisk expresses his doubts towards them being able to defeat XGaster, and when Chara asks if he's alright, Frisk denounces Chara as his brother, claiming that they never should coexist in the first place. Meanwhile, Alphys is found out by XGaster about taking a piece of his entry and giving it to Muffet, and she soon goes missing.
Undyne and Chara confront XGaster, demanding to know what happened to Alphys. XGaster shows them her limp body, impaled by one of his spike hands, claiming that she knew it was coming eventually. Chara goes and attacks XGaster with a barrage of determination knives, making XGaster realize how powerful Chara's determination is. He attempts to attack Chara to obtain his determination, while Undyne easily parries his attacks with a spear. Lying defeated on the ground, XGaster is approached by Undyne, who plans to confine XGaster until he is forgotten. However, Alphys reappears, overwritten by XGaster, and summons amalgamated versions of the main characters of the previous timelines to attack the two, and Undyne yells to Chara to run.
