XTale IV is the fifth episode of XTale. It follows the events of the fourth timeline of XTale, where XGaster starts a genocide timeline by overwriting one of his children.
Summary[]
XGaster's first entry of the timeline describes how he looks up to Ink and wishes to be more like him. A few years into the timeline, Frisk orders two spider-donuts from Muffet. He is also given her special Teraphosa Chocolate Cake, which she only makes once a year, since she noticed that he and his brother have seemed down. In exchange, Frisk gave her the heart locket of the timeline. Frisk returns home while contemplating how long it's been since the timeline has been overwritten, and how Chara is distressed waiting for it to be overwritten again. When he gets inside, he finds XGaster waiting for him, and is grabbed by one of his floating hands. XGaster declares that he is starting a genocide route, and that he will overwrite Frisk to see what will happen. Sometime later, Chara sees the destruction Frisk caused, and is greeted by XGaster. XGaster mockingly says that Frisk wants to play with Chara, and Frisk starts to attack Chara. Muffet, who was nearby, ends up receiving a part of an entry from the timeline from Alphys. This causes Muffet to tie up Frisk, and encourage Chara to fight back against XGaster. Chara punches XGaster, and uses the Reset button for the first time, bringing them back to before Frisk was overwritten. XGaster decides to punish the two, creating a new timeline.
