XTale I is the second episode of XTale. It follows the events of the first timeline following XGaster's visit to the Doodle Sphere.

With many new ideas in mind, the newly-named XGaster sets out to create a world for Frisk and Chara to live in. He recreates many individuals that he saw in the Doodle Sphere, more specifically the Undertale cast. Frisk and Chara are given to be raised by Asgore and Toriel, and grow up along with their new brother, Asriel. They all live a happy and content life, until XGaster realizes the universe isn't good enough for them. XGaster decides to overwrite, while Chara and Frisk have one last conversation with their brother. Asriel tells them that they'll all be happier in the next timeline, and to stay determined for their freedom.
