XTale!Alphys

XTale!Alphys (or XAlphys) is one of the major character of XTale and Underverse. She's the loyal assistant of XGaster.

Alphys made her first appearance in the Underverse series.

History[]

She is Gaster's assistant. She is created with the only purpose to compile all the data generated during the Timelines, as well as keep XGaster’s personal notes during and after the X-Event's development. Despite her working and always seeming to be at XGaster's side, she disliked what XGaster did to her home and family. Always behind XGaster, she attempted to indirectly stop him in many different ways. When XGaster discovered what she had been doing, she was murdered and overwritten as a loyal and emotionless assistant.

XGaster had all his trust in her until he discovered she was part of Chara’s rebellion in the 4th Timeline. She is still able to think for herself, but she doesn’t want to get involved in trouble anymore and just obeys her creator. She can also be used by XGaster as a puppet, giving him the ability to see through her eyes.

Timeline I[]

At the end of the episode Alphys was seen with Gaster, gesturing that the "work" is done.

Timeline II[]

Alphys was first seen with everyone having fun, but then she was seen behind of Gaster, terrified her mouth chained because of his violent atrocity.

Timeline IV[]

Alphys was seen standing beside with Gaster, overwriting Frisk. At the end Alphys was seen walking along with Gaster, leaving Frisk attacking Chara. Alphys looked behind, holding all the documents and one of them was partly stretched out and delivered to Muffet indirectly.

Timeline V[]

Alphys appeared wearing a purple dress with white dots, holding a gift and waiting. She was enclosed by Frisk and Chara, black mailed her for what she and he has done to them. It was confirmed after her response to them that Alphys was never happy cause of what happened and always helped them indirectly.

Alphys was terrified after telling them, and thinking about what can happen to her if XGaster finds out about her betrayal. Alphys, Undyne, and Chara prepared to get rid of XGaster. Then in a flashback, XGaster, who seemed angry with her, erased the piece of code that was handled behind of him.

At the end of the episode she was seen dangling, bloody and murdered by Gaster referring to her as a "liar" and attempting to convince Undyne to stop her rebellion. Midway during the fight as Undyne has XGaster on the ground, Alphys and XGaster say in unision "Your hopes and dreams do not work in my reality.", at which point an Overwritten Alphys is seen standing and activating pieces of code to attack Undyne, overwhelming her.

Timeline VI[]

Alphys appears briefly in the background of this episode, controlling the code under direct control by XGaster as indicated by her eyes.

Timeline VII[]

Alphys is seen adding data from the timeline to the compilation, namely the fact that a human soul can lose its abilities because of its feelings. When XChara begins to cry, this transfers to Alphys' face, and she's seen touching her face and looking at the tears on her hand.

Timeline VIII[]

Alphys appears in a background position attempting to aid XFrisk in his first creation. She is seen in multiple flashes of the events of the timeline, with one in which she appears to be almost smiling is notable. When the XEvent rebels, she summons Undyne to throw a spear through XMettaton's head. At the end of Timeline VIII, she is seen walking up to XFrisk and saying "You're going to be a problem."

Timeline IX[]

Alphys appears alongside XGaster in a background position. She is seen at first alongside XFrisk, reminding the XEvent that they should to avoid making contact with any inhabitants of the timeline, as per XGaster's orders. XChara proceeds to flip her off. She attempts to conceal the fact that the XEvent broke XGaster's rules later when they talk.

Later, she is seen taste testing a pie for XGaster given by Papyrus, commenting on it's good taste. She is also seen talking in Wingdings with XGaster (TBA: What she said and transliteration). She is seen at the end of the episode talking with XGaster, and explaining how the XEvent used both the RESET and OVERWRITE buttons to change time and space seperately.

Timeline X[]

Alphys plays an important side role in this episode. Early in the episode, whilst in the body of a child she continually is apathetic to those around her. She is completely uninterested in acting as her age, and barely even interacts with anyone who isn't XGaster. Later she is seen with Papyrus and Sans, talking with Undyne. She attempts to tell Undyne that Gerson is waiting for her, at which point she asks how Alphys knows her name. Alphys blushes and references a previous incident involving Undyne and burning a cook book.

She is seen later with XGaster, Sans, and Papyrus. The two kids are attempting to join the Royal Guard, and Alphys is incredibly dismissive and as Papyrus says, rude. When XGaster decides to let them enlist, Alphys doesn't comment before updating XGaster on the condition of the Experiment.

Alphys is seen later with XGaster after his RESET, attempting to advise him to rest, at which point he yells at her, seemingly scaring her a lot. At this point Alphys begins to take notes for XGaster, and consistently leaves scathing remarks at XGaster, first commenting on how he refers to the XEvent as an "it" and how she hates it, and later how the XEvent is doing the wrong thing, before redacting them.

Just before the end of the Timeline, she is seen panicking after the XEvent's OVERWRITE, and advising XGaster to evacuate. She is also seen afterwards alongside XGaster.

Underverse[]

Alphys makes an appearance when Gaster orders her to collect the remaining code of Underfell and quarantining Underswap.

She leaves a sheet and it starts absorbing the codes into it and ends with the mark of an "X".

0.5[]

Alphys makes a minor appearance in 0.5, and appears alongside the XTale cast in the Undertale universe. When Ink!Sans reminds XGaster on a plan B, XAlphys, alongside others, speak on behalf of XGaster to inform him on the lack of such plans.

0.6[]

Alphys is presumably present in the background alongside XGaster in the final scene, but is never shown on-screen.

0.7 Part 1[]

She is seen in a minor role alongside XGaster, informing him of how his plans are progressing.

Appearance[]

Alphys wears a white coat and a dark suit. She was seen to wear a white dress with purple ladybug spot dress on her date.

Before she was overwritten by XGaster, Her iris were black and her sclera were white, but after the fourth timeline, her sclera are black and her iris are light violet with cross as the pupil.

Personality[]

Pre-OVERWRITE she is very similar to Main Universe Alphys, being mostly positive early on and beginning to get more and more disgusted at XGaster's actions. She attempts to help out the XEvent as much as possible, and eventually attempts to rebel, being OVERWRITTEN.

Post-OVERWRITE she is cold and apathetic. She is uncaring towards anything outside of her purpose, to be XGaster's assistant. She retains some basic traits, such as an attraction to Undyne and an inability to connect to others. She seems to struggle to express any emotion, but retains the ability fundamentally.

Abilities[]

She can copy or steal other universe/timeline's codes, in addition to having the ability to put any Universe or individual under quarantine and use them at will.

All the information XGaster gives her is saved in the shape of paper sheets. These papers have the same mechanic as the LOAD/SAVE from the Original Universe. She’s the only one besides XGaster who can use these options after using the Overwrite button.
