XCHARA VS BÊTE NOIRE - Part 1 is a form of mockery released on April Fools 2020. It features XTale!Chara preparing to battle Bete Noire, a character from Glitchtale. As the battle begins however, the video goes into an indefinite fake buffering screen. Near the end, the text "April fools day!" replaces the paused scene.

The video is the second to poke fun at the concept of XTale!Chara and Bete Noire fighting. Although an actual battle was to be made back in 2017, it was cancelled following criticism and questions about the battle.^[1],
