- "Your power
Your downfall" - — Fatal_Error about XGaster's future
Fatal_Error is a character that appears in Underverse 0.7 Part 2. He is a version of Geno that was corrupted by Error!Sans. He summons Cross to him in an attempt to attack XGaster through him.
Origins
The character Fatal_Error was introduced in the comic series "Fatal Error has occurred" by the creator Xedramon.
In this series, Fatal_Error is depicted as a corrupted counterpart of the character Geno, with his design initially drawing inspiration from both Geno and Error!Sans. In the original comic, an interesting twist occurs when Error attempts to kill Geno, but Geno instead transforms into Fatal_Error, a result of his inability to perish when within the save screen.
The central premise of Fatal_Error's own comic series revolves around his journey across the multiverse in search of his missing Papyrus. Throughout the series, Fatal_Error!Sans is often portrayed as hunting down and eliminating his alternate versions and other incarnations of Papyrus. His inability to even take his own life hints at his apparent immortality.
According to Error!Sans, Fatal_Error is considered the most unwanted and broken code across the entire Multiverse. Their encounter results in a confrontation, with Fatal_Error recognizing Error!Sans, leading to a fierce battle. Although Fatal_Error initially gains the upper hand, his victory slips away when he experiences a panic attack, allowing Error!Sans to escape. Fatal_Error typically treats individuals he encounters with indifference, ignoring them until they initiate interactions, though he does make exceptions for those he has heard of and deems special.
History
Before Underverse
After a showdown with Error!Sans in the save screen when he was Geno, he found himself in the Anti-Void. Although he had lost his original form, he clung to fragments of his memories, especially his love for Papyrus. He began an interdimensional quest to reunite with his brother, encountering several versions of himself and Papyrus along the way. Realizing his Papyrus might be unattainable, he started collecting code fragments from different Papyrus and Sans versions as a way to cope with his loss and preserve their essence.
Underverse
0.7 Part 2
In Aftertale, Ink!Sans and Cross found themselves face to face with XGaster while talking with Geno. Suddenly, they were teleported to Fatal_Error's reality, and the urgency to escape became paramount. Amid their discussions, Fatal_Error launched an intense attack. Ink!Sans suffered wounds, and he noted that Fatal_Error's red strings were even more painful than Error's.
As the battle neared its end, Fatal_Error appeared inside Cross's bone shelter and used his strings to incapacitate Ink!Sans. He then demanded access to Cross's code. Reluctantly, Cross complied. Fatal_Error declared that nothing would be able to protect XGaster from him.
From his own universe, XGaster observed the battle and took a drastic action. He split Cross's page in half, causing wounds to Cross. This unexpected move caused Fatal_Error to lose an arm, who, in shock and pain, tumbled to the ground. Cross was subsequently seized by XGaster.
After this unsettling turn of events, Fatal_Error get up & returned to his normal state and proclaimed that XGaster's power would ultimately be the source of his own downfall.
Profile
Appearance
He shares an uncanny resemblance with Geno, albeit with a glitchy appearance. His defining feature is his eyes, which have two colors: blue and red. When both eyes are blue, he is in a state of calm. If one eye is red and the other blue, he is considered normal in his mind. However, when both eyes turn red, it signifies that he is in a state of intense rage. Although, with his white eyes, it could signal surprise or injuries/injured.
Personality
Originally, he displays indifference towards those he encounters, remaining stoic until someone interacts with him. When engaged in conversation, he tends to become nervous. People who show him kindness often trigger memories of his beloved Papyrus. However, he ultimately recognizes that these are not his closest person. Despite the harsh reality, he clings to his hope that his Papyrus is still alive.
His relentless quest involves collecting or copying the bodies and code of Sanses and Papyruses from various Alternate Universes, all in the hope of reuniting with his Papyrus and reconstructing his code. In Underverse, he was portrayed as a destructive force, targeting others. Presently, his primary objective is to locate XGaster and exact his revenge by destroying him.
